Fundraising Auctions raise over £2,000 & complete the Three Peaks Challenge!

Congratulations to some of our team members completing the Tree Peaks Challenge in aid of Bliss Baby Charity!

Our adventure began with a 12 hour drive up to Fort William from our Newhaven office on Sunday morning. After arriving at the Ben Nevis Bunkhouse that evening, we enjoyed a quick feed and then we were off to bed to rest up before starting the challenge the following day!

Luckily for us the weather held out for the duration of our challenge & the day was warm with wall to wall sunshine. The ascent up Ben Nevis took us just over two and a half hours to reach the summit (1,345 metres above sea level), where after a quick 15 minute stop to enjoy the breath taking views we begun our descent back down. Two hours later we were back at the minibus and on our way to Cumbria for our night time hike up Scafell Pike.

After a 6 hour drive we arrived at Scarffell Pike at 1am , tired and aching we set off for the night time leg of the challenge! Despite getting lost for over an hour we managed to scramble our way to the summit in time for a beautiful sun rise at around 4:36am.

After another 2 hour descent, we were back on the minibus for the 5 hour drive to our final mountain, Snowdon. We decided on taking the PYG track which posed a steep and rocky challenge but allowed us to summit within 2 and a half hours! We enjoyed the views from the summit & then headed down to complete the challenge!

We attempted this tough and testing challenge in order to raise funds for a charity close to our hearts, Bliss Baby Charity. Bliss provide emotional and practical support for families of babies born premature or sick. With the help of friends, family & colleagues we have managed to raise over £2,000, so a big thank you to everyone who donated to this deserving cause and made the achy legs worth while!
