Hilton Mid Summer Ball 2017
The Event
Brighton Hilton Metropole hosted their annual mid-summer ball in June, with this year’s theme being a “Night at the Musicals”. The event was being held to raise vital funds to help young people across Sussex with 4 very worthy charities chosen to benefit from the proceeds raised, these were;

Action Medical Research for Children
The Service
With over 500 guests attending & to fit in with the nights theme, the event organisers decided to choose our interactive auction service. Guests were registered on arrival and given brief instructions on how to view and bid on the auction lots available, direct from their smart phones. Two of our auction staff members also attended the event providing support & updates throughout the evening.
The Result
Amount raised: £34822Lots sold: 49The auction ran smoothly with over 130 guests enjoying the ease and ability to bid on their smart phones, compared to previous years when tablets had been used.
52 auction lots were included in the auction including a mixture of donated items and Fundraising Auction lots, chosen by the event organisers. Some of the lots available include a tour of Westminster, 3-day private yacht charter in Mallorca and a Chef’s table at Gordon Ramsay’s Petrus restaurant.
The event went on to raise £92,160 in total, with a live auction, heads & tails and a raffle also contributing to the amount raised. This is a fantastic result and will go a long way to helping disadvantaged children living in Sussex. Well done to everyone involved!
Feedback
After each event we send through our post event form, this is a questionnaire style form which gives us useful feedback to help us keep improving the service we offer. The event organisers stated that they thought our staff were helpful and the auction contributed to the overall success of the evening. We look forward to attending again next year!
