Bellway Charity Golf Day
The Event
Bellway Homes were hosting their annual Golf Day to support Cancer Research UK, a national charity which focuses on pioneering research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer to help save millions of lives.
A mid-morning shotgun start was scheduled on the course for the 130 players in attendance and an evening function was also planned for the players to enjoy a sit-down meal and awards to be handed out from the days play.
The Service
After initial discussions with the organisers before the event our free Silent Auction service was decided upon as being the best route to take to raise the most money for the type of event being held.
Our Silent Auction can run in the background and still be a very effective way of raising extra funds, suiting the evening function of the event as there was a sit-down meal & award ceremony planned.
Our event manager Phill arrived mid-afternoon to ready the Silent Auction for the evening function and ran the auction from start to finish, including collecting all winning bids once the auction had finished.
The Result
Amount raised: £2117Lots sold: 21The Silent Auction alone raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research UK, all winning bids were paid for & collected on the night! A fantastic result for a very worthy cause.
